Serving with Us
The Salt & Light Project offers volunteer opportunities in Boerne centered on shared activities, meaningful engagement, and consistent presence within local senior communities. Through conversation, games, creative projects, and seasonal gatherings, volunteers help create welcoming spaces where connection grows through simple, intentional interaction over time.

Individual volunteers serve through steady, relational presence in local senior communities. Volunteers may help as table hosts, support activities, assist with setup, encourage residents during programs, or simply offer warm conversation and companionship. These simple moments create familiarity, trust, and meaningful connection over time.

Activity Leads
Activity Leads are volunteers who guide a specific activity or program in local senior communities. This may include mahjong, music, hospitality, or other shared experiences. They help residents feel comfortable and included by offering clear guidance, encouragement, and a welcoming rhythm that makes each gathering simple, enjoyable, and meaningful.
Schools, churches, homeschool groups, families, and community groups are welcomed into thoughtfully guided service opportunities with seniors. Visits may include music, games, hospitality, seasonal socials, shared meals, or other activities that create joy and connection across generations.
