Student Service
Serve With Purpose.
Bring Joy to Everyday Moments.

The Salt & Light Project connects students with seniors in local care communities through hands-on service. Students can share their time and talents, contribute where they are needed, and make a difference across generations.
Student service hours can be documented for qualifying opportunities.
Games & Puzzles
Serve alongside residents through cards, puzzles, Mahjong, and other games. Students help with setup, offer assistance and encouragement, and make sure activities are welcoming, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone.
Student Participation
We welcome students of all ages to serve through schools, service organizations, churches, and other groups. Families with young children are also encouraged to serve together. Parents do not need to attend school-organized events, though younger children may need a parent or guardian alongside them for certain programs. We’ll share attendance requirements with each opportunity so families know what to expect.
Practical opportunities for students to serve with care, use their gifts well, and contribute in ways that matter. Through service, students can grow in initiative, responsibility, and compassion.
Serve by Sharing Your
Creative Arts
Serve through painting, arts and crafts, crochet, and other creative projects. Students can help organize materials, assist residents as needed, and make hands-on activities easier to enjoy, participate in, and carry out smoothly.
Share music, singing, reading, or other personal talents with residents. Students can perform individually or as a group, help lead simple activities, and use their gifts to bring variety, enjoyment, and encouragement to the day.

We’ll share upcoming Serve Days and other student service opportunities with families on the interest list as dates are confirmed.
Bring Your Group
We partner with schools, service organizations, clubs, and homeschool groups to create practical, age-appropriate ways for students to serve local seniors. Opportunities can be planned as one-time service days, recurring visits, or group projects.
