Our Programs
Intentional gatherings. Meaningful connection.
The Salt & Light Project brings thoughtfully planned gatherings into local senior living communities, assisted living facilities, and care settings throughout the Boerne area. Through games, creative activities, music, seasonal events, and shared meals, each gathering is designed to feel welcoming, familiar, and rooted in meaningful connection.
Homeschool groups, schools, churches, and youth organizations can also participate through age-appropriate volunteer opportunities with seniors. These may include crafts, reading, music, seasonal activities, or simple shared time with residents, creating meaningful service experiences across generations.
Seasonal & Special Events
Seasonal celebrations help mark the rhythms of the year with warmth and familiarity. Through holiday crafts, spring florals, themed socials, and shared meals, these programs create moments that feel recognizable, joyful, and rooted in community.
Youth & Intergenerational Visits
Youth and group visits create meaningful opportunities for connection across generations. Through reading, music, crafts, games, shared meals, or simple time together, students and groups can serve in age-appropriate ways while bringing warmth, energy, and companionship into the room.
Music & Shared Experiences
Music has a special way of bringing people together. From youth ensembles and sing-alongs to small performances or familiar songs, these programs offer moments of joy, memory, reflection, and connection across generations.
Games & Social Gatherings
Games and social gatherings create easy, familiar opportunities for conversation and shared enjoyment. Whether through cards, puzzles, mahjong, bingo, or table games, these programs help residents participate, laugh, remember, and connect in a relaxed setting.
