The Salt & Light Project partners with senior living and care communities in Boerne and the Texas Hill Country to plan gatherings around their residents. Programs may include games, creative workshops, music, seasonal celebrations, and student visits. Each gathering is planned with attention to residents’ interests and the daily rhythms of their community.

Youth and group visits create meaningful opportunities for connection across generations. Through reading, music, crafts, games, shared meals, or simple time together, students and groups can serve in age-appropriate ways while bringing warmth, energy, and companionship into the room.

Games and social gatherings create easy, familiar opportunities for conversation and shared enjoyment. Whether through cards, puzzles, mahjong, bingo, or table games, these programs help residents participate, laugh, remember, and connect in a relaxed setting.
